Can the numbering start at a number other than 1?

Yes. Type the starting number in the box. A document that begins at page 7 of a larger report can be numbered from 7.

Will the numbers cover my content?

They sit 28 points (about 1 cm) from the edge, in the margin of a normal page. A page printed edge to edge may need the top position instead.

Does this change the quality of the pages?

No. Pages are kept exactly as they were, with one text object added.

Is the file uploaded?

No. The numbering happens inside your browser and the file never leaves your device.
