Why text and not numbers?

Because a CSV has no types, and guessing is how Excel damages files. Text keeps 02134 and 1234567890123456 exactly. Select a column in Excel and convert it if you need sums.

Does it handle semicolons and tabs?

Yes, detected from the first line.

Is there a row limit?

Excel itself stops at 1,048,576 rows. Use Split CSV first for a bigger file.

Is the file uploaded?
